Year 6 Transition Parties

​

Starting secondary school is an exciting new chapter, but it can also feel a little daunting. Our Year 6 Transition Parties are designed to bring young people together from different primary schools, giving them the opportunity to meet, make new friends and build confidence before September.

​

Hosted at The Point Youth Club from 7pm to 9pm, these fun, relaxed evenings provide a safe and welcoming environment where Year 6 pupils can socialise, enjoy music, games and activities, and start forming friendships with other children who may be joining the same secondary school.

​

By helping young people connect before they start Year 7, we hope to reduce some of the anxieties that can come with moving to a new school and encourage a greater sense of belonging from day one.

What to Expect

• Meet other Year 6 pupils from local primary schools

• Music, games and fun activities

• A safe, welcoming and supervised environment

• Opportunities to build confidence and make new friends

• A great introduction to The Point Youth Club

 

Whether your child already knows lots of people or is feeling nervous about the move to secondary school, everyone is welcome. Come along, have fun and start making connections that could last well beyond the summer.
